Key West Vacation - Day 5

View from our table at Latitudes
The highlight of yesterday was without a doubt lunch at Latitudes at the Westin Resort on Sunset Key where we met one of the boyfriend's clients who hosted our lunch.  The weather was gorgeous although there was a brisk wind blowing in off of the Atlantic side of the island creating some sizable swell.  The image below is from the tender on the way to Sunset Key with two large cruise ships in the background.  The food was wonderful as always and I highly recommend the Key Lime Martini.

After lunch we walked back to The Equator and read and socialized by the pool until cocktail hour.  Again, I cannot say enough good things about the resort and the friendliness of the staff and other guests.   We braved the craziness of St. Patrick's Day and ventured to Finnegan's Wake, an Irish pub and restaurant.  After that, we made the trek down Duval Street to 801 Bourbon for some end of the evening cocktails.  All in all, it was a great day and  I highly recommend Key West to those who have never visited.

Tomorrow, I will do a recap of our last day here and my reflections.

It really looks like y'all have had a wonderful time there. I'd love to find a traveling companion and head south one of these days, Key West has long been on my list of places I'd love to visit. It would seem you've had good weather, good food, and most importantly, fine, fine company!

Peace <3
